Spending quality time with your son is an important part of fatherhood – and it doesn't hurt if it's during a fun camp! Year 7 fathers and sons enjoyed the first 2023 Father & Son camp at the YMCA Camp Yarramundi in the Hawkesbury Valley. From rock climbing to the giant swing, sports and a campfire at night, it was the full package. We even celebrated three students' birthdays at the camp!
Additionally, the dads had a chance to share parenting advice and tips on how to effectively communicate with their sons as they move into their teenage years, while the Year 7 boys came together to discuss how they could further build and enrich their relationships with their dad. Each father and son then spent some one-on-one time together reflecting on the lessons they learned over the weekend.
A big thank you to Fr Felix and Fr Ed for celebrating Mass, Mr Johnson and Mrs Reid for organising the camp, the Year 7 Class Parents and most importantly, to the dads and their sons for attending!
