Graduation Day for the class of 2022 was a wonderful celebration of a tremendous group of young men, along with their parents and teachers. The Mass was an appropriately solemn occasion made even more impacting by the contribution of the Year 10 choir. Many parents expressed their appreciation afterwards.

The Graduation and Presentation Assembly was the perfect mix of awards and speeches that marked the serious occasion that it is, while the musical performances by Caleb F and the Staff band, along with the Year 12 farewell video, provided some lighter moments. It was encouraging to see the genuine response to the occasion from the entire student body, who participated in a manner that gave them great credit. The genuine feeling of warmth from the school community towards our Year 12s was palpable. Our boys left knowing they were valued and always will be.

The occasion concluded with the Valete Dinner at Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club. There the Year 12s received their Old Boys’ ties and graduation certificates, a gift from the school, and the masterful portraits composed by Year 2 earlier in the week. There were many heartfelt moments throughout the day and evening, which I know the boys will treasure forever. None of it would have been possible without the great team of staff we have here at Wollemi, especially the amazing contribution of Mrs Wiggins and the forward planning of Mr Vassallo, who deserve our sincere thanks.
